Mom and Pop noodle shop, their speciality is boat noodles.

YongYang
(open 5pm, closed Monday) Japanese restaurant. Very cool decor, must try their signature sashimi salad and udon soups. Recommended!

 

Hoppipolla
(5pm-10pm, call for reservation, it's very popular) BBQ meats all served with fresh fruit and veggies. Lovely outdoor hipster setting. Recommended!

Pasta E Basta
Authentic Italian pasta restaurant. Everything is homemade including the cheeses, bread and pasta. Recommended!

September Brasserie
The Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes are a absolutemust, along with the rest of the western menu.

The Cave Doi Kham
(เดอะเคฟ ดอยคำ) Neighborhood favorite: Spicy blue crab Som Tum (papaya salad) and other savory thai dishes. Recommended!

Indy's
A hidden gem and by far one of the best restaurants in Chiang Mai. Close to Baan Tawai. Go right at 5pm or you won't get a table.

Grand Canyon Chiang Mai
Swim, rafting, tubing, rock climb in large man made quarry with other travelers. After, enjoy a nice meal and smoothie on their terrace.

Bunny Buns
Cosy cafe with great coffee, baked goods and interesting menu of both Thai and Western dishes.

One of the best authentic northern food restaurants.

If you like to cycle, this is a great stop. The environment is relaxing, surrounded by nature.

(11-3pm, 5pm-10pm) Thai restaurant situated in an outdoor, jungle like courtyard with lakes and waterfalls within view. Great for big groups.

One of many Italian places our neighborhood but one of the best. Owner is welcoming and uses homemade ingredients at a good price. Recommend!
